That's a Wrap!

Bryan completed his film Touching the Sun yesterday. We filmed the last scene in a school gym with Jerry and Randall as the actors. It was a lot of fun even though the boom-mike is heavy and painful to hold at times. First we did some warm-up exercises which were a lot of fun - especally when the actors had to sing! They did a pretty good job!

Rehearsal

The scene is where Randall's character Dale and Jerry's Steve coincidentally meet at the gym. The scene had to be shot from many angles. Some were even through glass so we had to watch for our reflections. Bryan hid his by wrapping black cloth around himself.

Bryan is trying to communicate with Jerry through the glass.

All in all this 3 minute scene took about 3-4 hours to shoot. It went very well.

After the scene was finished Randall, Bryan and I headed to my house to take a few more shots and record some audio.

OSU Homecoming

Yesterday my darling Bryan and I headed to Stillwater in order to see the fabulous House Decorations at Oklahoma State University made by the fraternities and sororities. This has been a tradition for many years. The decorations are made out of metal frames (pipes and chicken wire) and filled with tissue paper. It takes months to build them. I was really impressed, especially with the things that moved. Here are some pictures from yesterday.

Haircut

I realized that my hair was getting too long so I got my hair cut today despite the fact that there was a big storm overhead. This is how it looked:

Halloween

I guess it'll soon be Halloween. Our neighbours are already putting up some decorations. Halloween seems to be a bigger thing in the US than in Norway or England. I'm used to just a few people go trick-or-treat-ing, but here it's a real big deal. Here are some pictures from our neighbour's garden.

One Year

Today Bryan and I have been together a whole year! Time sure has flown by. It’s been an amazing twelve months, as you can see:

October - OSU campus
November - Tulsa
December - Festival of Lights
January - Ice storm
February - Rollerblading
March - Hollywood
April - Playground
May - Shadows
June - Hawaii Pool party
July - Sola Beach, Norway
August - Amber and Keith's Wedding

A picture from September will be coming later.
He’s just the most wonderful guy I’ve ever ever met! He always takes care of me and makes sure I’m ok. He has the greatest smile. The greatest laugh. The greatest kiss. I love him to bits! I hate moments when he’s not with me and I always look forward to seeing him. He’s the love of my life - my one and only.

Car

Remember I wrote that I would be driving my mum's car? Well, that's not true. Turns out I'll be driving my dad's. When I came home from school last night Dad had bought another car that I can borrow and pay the petrol (gas) for. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY! :D Thank you, Dad!

THIS is the car I'll be driving

Tom the Turtle

Two weekends ago Bryan, his family and I were at the lake.

I looked like this

Julia found a tiny baby turtle (don’t ask me how she spotted him). She took him home and named him Tom or Tommy. He now lives in a bowl in their kitchen where he prefers to be under water.

Tom in his bowl

Today was the first time I held him. It was also the first time I held a turtle, so it was pretty neat. His legs are really strong to be so little.

Drivers License

CONGRADULATIONS!!! I told you that you could do it. - My driving instructor Russ Tribble in an e-mail.

Yaaay! I passed my driving test today. I am extremely happy! Now I no longer need to feel like the last 21 year old in USA who didn't have her license yet. The best of all is not having to rely on other people to get where I want.

So now I will be cruising around in my mother’s BMW.

I wish I had a less precious car to bump into things with. Let's hope I don't end up like this:
